Lost Places – Grandhotel Waldlust: pictures from my grandfather…

… well … not quite 😉

After a long day of hedge and grass cutting before the winter comes I sat down tonight to convert a series of my most loved photos from my last trip with Edmund Bugdoll to the Schlosshotel Waldlust in Freudenstadt. My goal was to get a common look and feel to it. Moreover I wanted to have them converted to black & white but also I wanted to make sure that the pictures don’t look too new.

In the process I edited them in Photoshop and added 1-2 texture layers (blend mode “multiply” and did a B&W conversion in Silver Efex Pro 2).

Die Idee war ein Bilderset in schwarz / weiss zu erstellen, dem man nicht gleich ansieht, daß man hier und heute die Bilder gemacht hat. Daher habe ich mich entschieden sowohl die Bilder mit 1-2 Texturen mit Hilfe von Photoshop zu hinterlegen und die schwarz / weiss Bearbeitung mit Silver Efex Pro 2 so zu gestalten, daß es insgesamt mehr nach einem Bild von den Großeltern aussieht. In Photoshop verwendete ich 1-2 Textur-Layers im Blend Modus “Multiply”.

Ein oder zwei Ideen habe ich noch, die müssen aber wohl noch ein bischen warten.
